About IKS

Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) represent the traditional knowledge and wisdom developed in India over centuries. This knowledge covers many fields such as philosophy, science, mathematics, astronomy, Ayurveda, yoga, arts, culture, language, architecture, environment, and ethics. The purpose of IKS is to connect India’s ancient knowledge with modern education and research for all-round development.

Vision

To preserve and promote Indian Knowledge Systems and integrate them into higher education for holistic learning and societal development.

Mission

  • To spread awareness about India’s rich knowledge heritage.
  • To encourage teaching, learning, and research based on IKS.
  • To integrate traditional Indian knowledge with modern subjects.
  • To support the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Objectives of the IKS Cell

  • To familiarize students with Indian knowledge traditions and values.
  • To promote research and innovation inspired by Indian wisdom.
  • To organize seminars, workshops, and academic activities on IKS.
  • To promote Indian languages, culture, and ethical values.
  • To develop social, moral, and environmental responsibility among students.
