Our college is one of the leading institutions, affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala. It came into existence in 1968 through the collective efforts of certain well know personalities of the area, prominent among the being sant Mohinder Singh “Harkhowal wale”, The establishment of the college infact, was the realization of a long cherished dream.
Gurmat Sangeet as a Subject was introduced in the year 2008. Gurmat Sangeet as an independent academic discipline has been introduced to create awareness and spread the knowledge and essence of Sikh Sacred Music among people of diverse cultures. Since then the Department is doing all out efforts to promote and preserve the Gurmat Sangeet tradition. The Department of Gurmat Sangeet is truly an unmatched, remarkable and outstanding component of the institution.
The present infrastructure of department includes well furnished Gurmat Sangeet room with Modern Facilities like wi-fi and modern electronic gadgets among others.
